Open Handed – your Lion Bites word for today

The Lord is inviting you to let go: ‘Would you let go of those people and circumstances that have hurt you in the past? Would you let go of everything that hinders you? Would you let go of mere ‘religion’, would you let go and be open-handed before me?’ 

He has new things to give you but if you are holding on to too much from your past then be open-handed before Him; let go of the old so that He can give you the new. When you hold on it is not easy to give away, nor is it easy to receive the new.

And He says, ‘Are you willing to lay ALL before me – to let go of every area of life that hinders – and be open handed? Trust in me, for I am the LORD your God. I desire to do a new thing, let go of the old.’
 
Psalm 145:13-18
For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does. The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads. The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it.
When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.
