The Arrow Beyond – your Lion Bites word for today

The arrow has been fired beyond – don’t be afraid of the change that it symbolises: embrace it and allow it to direct your journey.

King David had done nothing wrong, yet Saul’s heart burned against him. In fear of his life David hid but made an agreement with his friend Jonathan that, if everything in the kingdom was okay for David then an arrow would be fired to land beside where he was hiding. But if things weren’t right for him then Jonathan would fire an arrow beyond him.

As it transpired, Jonathan fired the arrow beyond, which meant change for David. It meant things wouldn’t be as before… but it also meant that David was stepping into the fulfillment of his destiny. The sign of change looked alarming but signalled another step on an incredible journey.

Don’t fear the change that an arrow fired beyond brings. It just may be the key to the release of your intended Godly adventure.

1 Samuel 20:35-40
In the morning Jonathan went out to the field for his meeting with David. He had a small boy with him, and he said to the boy, “Run and find the arrows I shoot.” As the boy ran, he shot an arrow beyond him. When the boy came to the place where Jonathan’s arrow had fallen, Jonathan called out after him, “Isn’t the arrow beyond you?” Then he shouted, “Hurry! Go quickly! Don’t stop!” The boy picked up the arrow and returned to his master. (The boy knew nothing about all this; only Jonathan and David knew.) Then Jonathan gave his weapons to the boy and said, “Go, carry them back to town.”
